My first sighting of one White-winged Dove was on December 20, 2013. The following day, a second one showed up. Since then, one or both have been ground feeding or hanging out on my patio furniture, on my fence, in the crepe myrtle or on the utility wires almost daily (as often as I’ve looked for them). The photos show both White-winged Doves; one photo also shows a Mourning Dove sitting next to a White-winged Dove for comparison.

Thank you all, so very much! I feel privileged to have been able to see such lovely creatures and to get a few photos. With our recent cold snap (thank you, Polar Vortex), they seem to have left, so I’m even more grateful to have seen them when I did.
