Rare Bird: Black-chinned Hummingbird

This bird was banded Thursday, December 3, by Fred Bassett, an expert hummingbird bander. He showed me the inner web of P-10 and pointed out the fanned tail in flight and the longer bill (than a Ruby-throated.) He marked the bird with a pink spot on its head, and I saw the pink spot yesterday morning.
