  1. I found a collared dove with no tail feathers. The feathers have all grown back and it looks beautiful again. My problem is it doesnt want or cant fly. Theres no visual injuries. He eats and drinks well, lovely clear eyes. I hold his feet so he flaps his wings but when you let go he crash lands. It’s as though he doesnt want to try. Can you give me an explanation please

      Hi Diane, please contact a wildlife rehabilitator. While Eurasian Collared-Doves are not protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, it’s still a good idea to talk to a wildlife professional if you have a bird that is not acting right.
