Rare Bird: Hermit Thrush

I arrived home from a trip and the hermit thrush was drinking at the birdbath. It stayed on the bath for about 15 minutes, sipping and resting, then took off into the hedge, and I’ve not seen it since. I put out some mealworms in case it’s staying around. I had a very clear view and could see the reddish tail. It was doing the tail flipping thing. I’ll attach a photo, but it was too far away for my camera. The weather around here has been unusually mild for the time of year. The evening of Jan 4 was the first cold weather.
