Rare Bird: Painted Bunting

I saw a painted bunting on my feeder that includes white millet — a favorite of painted buntings — on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 several times though out the day. I also reported a painted bunting at the same feeder on several occasions in 2014. I haven’t seen that bird since about May of last year. The proprietor at Wild Birds Unlimited in New Bern, NC told me that a woman living my area had also reported a bunting within the last week.
