Rare Bird: Pine Warbler West of Range
Additional images:
The Pine Warbler has not been sighted by the Bird and Wildlife Club of Wichita Falls since 1975. It was mixed in with a flock of Dark Eyed Juncos following an exceptional cold and snow event. This is far west of the Pine Warblers natural habitat. There are two pine trees in the Robin Lane area where this sighting occurred, but it is by no means a ‘pine forest’. It appeared near seed feeders in the afternoons of February 6 and 7, 2014.
