Rare Bird: Prairie Falcon

The Falcon flew in and all the birds at the feeder scattered. We think it was looking for a meal. It wasn’t long before a bunch of Magpies came in and mobbed it. It didn’t stick around for too long after that. We have a lot of Prairie Falcons here in the winter. It is NOT unusual to see one or two a month, especially during our Christmas Bird counts.
