Rare Bird: Purple Finch

These finches are hard to photograph! They seem much more skittish than House or Cassin’s finches, and startle very easily. Their coloration is more vivid than the House or Cassin’s and the beak is heavier. Bodies are heavier, too. Am waiting to get a decent photo.
