A Lovely Spot Of Color On A Very Gray Day

I bought my camera just about a year ago and have a lot to learn about photography still. Every once in a while I manage a shot I am very happy with. This lovely female cardinal is one of those. I know everyone loves the brilliant red of the male cardinal but I am fonder of the females.
