Description
Lazuli Buntings are known to frequent residential gardens of the West, but we had to travel to Othello, WA to finally see this beautiful bird. It looks like it is a male in breeding plumage, and his bright blue feathers were easy to spot in the sagebrush habitat, and we enjoyed listening to his song.

What a pretty bunting. We have indigos, in PA , but I’m not familiar with this one.
Yes, I moved there from the Midwest, so I was not familiar with this one either at first, and it was quite a treat to see it. I love the Indigo Buntings, too!
