Description

We had House Sparrows nesting in our birdhouse this year. I snapped this picture just as the father sparrow was delivering a slug to the young sparrows. Common across most of the North America, these are not related to the new world sparrows but are actually a species of weaver finch, and were imported from Europe to America.
