Description

While driving to the Laguna Atascosa Wildlife Refuge my wife and I discovered this Aplomado Falcon sitting on a post. In Feb of 1986 the northern aplomado falcon was designated as endangered throughout its range. In 1995, the first nesting pair of falcons in Texas in 43 years successfully raised a chick. So I thank we were very lucky to come upon this magnificent falcon.
