Young Anna’s insists on staying on the perch even as I hold it in my hand to switch it out for the room temp replacement!

My hand isn’t in the picture because I was being careful not to jostle him as I quickly snapped the pic I could without keeping the little one waiting too long.

After the hourly switch out of the frozen for a thawed feeder after this pic, I had to lightly brush the perch alongside “his” feet repeatedly to get him to step over to the feeder next to him. I actually made light contact with his feet once.

Needless to say, I’m exploring the safest options for keeping the feeders from freezing at all!
