Description
We had 3 families of wild turkeys that come out of the forest to our backyard “lawn” to eat the seeds and leaves of native grasses, weeds and flowers. They walk through several times a day. This time the mother turkey and her 3 “babies” decided to rest by a cluster of maples and spend about 20 minutes preening, then resting on the lawn before moving on. Even though wild turkeys don’t have a lot of color, I love to see the variations and patterns on the different feathers, and love collecting the ones they shed.
