Description
I was quite surprised to discover this Great Blue heron at Angrignon park so early in this season, especially with most of the water basins still frozen. (I later discovered small areas of the basin that were accessible for fishing by this fellow and two(!) others).
As I was getting ready to leave, I was treated to a magnificent flyby, with the frozen surface of the water providing a most excellent illumination in conjunction with the setting sun
