Description

I was so pleased to capture this single photo of the Carolina Wren as it was getting ready to leave the pine branch and visit a feeder below following one of our infrequent snows here in Tennessee. I only have a few Carolina Wrens hanging around my yard — I’ve never seen more than two of them simultaneously, and even that is rare — but I’m so happy that those few are regular year-round visitors.

We have a pair of Carolina Wrens nesting at our house this year. This is the first time we’ve had them nesting close by ~ so exciting! They have the most beautiful songs.
