Description

This is a Barred Owl that I have been getting to know. We sit together for little bits of time. This view from behind illustrates the connection we share; I am aware of the owl and it is very aware of me. The owl is willing to turn its back on me to listen for the nearby angry Blue Jays; it does not consider me a great threat where I stand. We exist together, and I am grateful to spend time with this owl fairly regularly.
