Description
The first snow day always brings in many Cardinals. Amongst them was this little lady. She is new to the yard, and she caught my attention because of her magnificent eyebrows. Female Cardinals can look a bit less exciting than their male counterparts, but snow days accentuate their beautiful colors.

She is beautiful! I actually think the female cardinal is as beautiful as the male. In different ways. I love the soft sometimes drab golden color they have. Is quite the contrast to the bright red male.

The cardinals are by far my favorite birds. The Queen is elegant and mystical. May not have all the colourful colours of the male however she can hold her own. Keep those wonderful pictures coming.
The quality of photos, footage, and love for our flying friends (and the occasional raccoon or squirrel) is so evident in Ostdrossel’s work!
