Description
After listening to the eastern bluebirds sing in my yard all spring, summer and fall I never thought they would come to the feeders since they remained high up in the trees. You can imagine my surprise on one cold January day in 2021 when four of them decided to sample the menu of mealworms I put out for them. Now I have the four of them visit my feeders several times a day and I never miss a chance to photograph them. This is one of my favorite pictures because I love the way the bluebird is perfectly perched on the cable in my yard and the way the sunlight reflected off his eye.
