User Submission Terms and Conditions

Your images and text (Work) may be selected for this website and other Cornell Lab of Ornithology websites and used to help further the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s mission of research, education, citizen science, and conservation.

By submitting your Work you agree to grant the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (“Cornell Lab”) a royalty-free, perpetual license to use the Work for any purpose whatsoever. Uses may include, but are not limited to, promotion of Cornell Lab projects in any way, including on the web, in print publications and mobile apps, as distributed to the media, and in commercial products.

Cornell Lab reserves the right to use/not use your Work as deemed appropriate by Cornell Lab in their sole discretion. Cornell Lab shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for protecting your Work against third party infringement of your copyright interest or other intellectual property rights or other rights you may hold in such Work and in no way shall be responsible for any losses you may suffer as a result of any such infringement. You also agree that any Work you submit must not infringe the rights of any other individual or entity.

In submitting your Work, you agree to unconditionally release, hold harmless and indemnify Cornell Lab, their directors, officers, members, employees, and volunteers of and from all claims, liabilities, and losses arising out of or in connection with the Cornell Lab’s use of your Work.

This release and indemnification shall be binding upon you, and your heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns. Participants who are not 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian to submit Work.
