This cardinal is the first one I have seen lose all of its feathers on its head, except keep a few for a tuft. I have seen bald ones previously, but never ones that had a feather tuft. He was here for several weeks like this.
Bald-headed
I have seen cardinals molt unusually and have a bald head, but I have never seen one keep a few feathers on the top of his bald head.
Sometimes they do have a few feathers left on their head, but I have to say he does look weird like that 😂
