Description

These photos are of a Carolina Wren with apparently no tail. I watched this bird for several minutes and it got very close to me. I could see no tail at all . It flew and acted quite normally. As it approached one of my feeders another wren pinned it to the ground and started pecking it with it’s beak. Then both birds flew up into a tree and the aggressive bird kept making attempts to scare away the tailless bird by flying at it. I am certain there was no tail and it was not a Winter Wren.
