Description

This finch showed up today with his female. The poor little guy has a badly deformed beak. He also has lots of brown and yellow feathers. I know yellow is caused by not enough red in the diet but brown? I have no idea.

what do you mean by brown? They naturally have brown on their wings and body, other than the bill he looks pretty normal to me.

Texas Bird Family says:

The male finches that I see have red bellies, heads, and rumps with brown wings and tails. This finch had a large brown patch on his head.
