This is a female House Sparrow with an unusually long upper bill. Pictures were taken today (24-11-03) sorry for the poor quality of the pictures but they were taken with my phone from about 30 feet away. The bird seems very healthy. She feeds and blends in well with the other 15 members of her flock. She even took a bath in the birdbath. First time for me seeing something like this. I hope it is nothing contagious.
Deformed bill
It is not contagious, it is simply a beak deformity. However, it can make it harder for the bird to eat and drink.
