Unusually warm weather in lower mainland BC and two birds with the same markings about the size of a Robin. I recorded them as Evening Grosbeaks but they are predominantly black. Is this correct?
I live in Quincy CA. I just saw a black evening grosbeak in my yard. (May 6, 2021) Absolutely astonishing. I had to research it to learn about melanistic trait.
