This robin was in a flock of other robins. It appeared very healthy and happy while pecking for worms. I saw one last year but didn’t get pictures.
Melanism
Species: American Robin
This bird was in a flock of other robins.
I see you put it in the category melanism, but melanism is an unusual amount of black pigmentation. The condition the robin has is known as leucism, which is the partial loss of pigments, so the opposite of melanism.
