Description

“Whitey” was one of the first birds to show up at my feeders when I put them out in October. Shows up with chicadees and titmice, was originally aggressive with other birds, but that stopped after a couple weeks. Eats black sunflower seeds only (options include various seed cakes, corn mix, thistle seeds in sock). It will swoop in, pick up a seed, and swoop away. Once I saw it sit on bird feeder, alone, and rest for two or three minutes, no other birds around. It’s about the size of the titmouse, without the tuft, or a large goldfinch but feathers are not as smooth, not as round as a chickadee. This bid was around last year also.
