Description

This bird appeared at my feeders today. It looks like a goldfinch, except for the coloring. The coloring overall is more yellow than my other goldfinches at this time of year, and where my goldfinches have black across the wings, this one is white.

Hi Pam. This is a leucistic Goldfinch. Leucism is the partial absence of pigments in an animal, resulting in white, or lighter than normal areas of the body. Enjoy watching him/her!
