We have had one here in Gunnison for the last week or so. Did you find out if this is a normal variation?

Hi John, This bird has some sort of pigment abnormality – likely leucism or albinism. You can learn more about color variants here.

We will look into that. It was back this morning. We are trying to get a clear picture of it. Do you know when that picture was taken? I can’t see a date. This one is fairly close to Carbondale, maybe 60 miles as the siskin flies, on the other side of the Elk Range.
