I just saw one in my backyard in Somers, CT. He/she had a white head, red breast and striped wings, Very striking bird but I can see why they make easier prey for predators.
There are two robins in my yard. One is of normal colors and the other has a few white areas on its head. At first I thought the white spots were Apple blossoms stuck to its head as the flowering Apple tree in the yard was in full bloom. However I saw it again a few days ago and could see it was definitely part of its coloration. Amazing! I have never seen it’s like!
