Unusual Bird: Bald House Finch
Additional images:
This bald house finch has been frequenting my feeder since August, 2016. It is December and he is still bald, so it is not a molting issue.

I just saw a bald house finch at my oriole jelly feeder. It caught my eye because of the unusual tan/pink color on top of its head. The feathersxatpund the eyes look the same as those in this photo. Is it disease which causes this? Is there anything I need to do?
This bird isn’t actually bald. It has feathers on its head, but the feathers are white. It is leucistic, which is a plumage abnormality affecting the deposition of pigment on the feathers. –FeederWatch staff
