Unusual Bird: Eye striped Slate colored junco
I had an unusual number of Junco’s show up at my feeder site today. This one looks like a Slate-colored junco but with a difference, a pale stripe behind it’s eyes, black around it’s pink beak & below i6t’s eyes.
I’m wondering if a Slate-colored made whoopy with a White-winged junco?

I saw this bird today for the first time in a bush in my Vancouver BC neighborhood.
Date Feb 11, 2026. We have lots of juncos but all are the black and brown colouring. Thank you for helping me to identify this unusual grey bird with the white eye stripe.
