Unusual Bird: gray female cardinal
Additional images:
This is a gray female cardinal that I’ve seen several times over the last month (three pictures of the same bird). I think it is a non-phaeomelanic cardinal.

I have one at my feeder. watched her since she was a juvenile. Interesting that all the other cardinals at my feeder seem to arrive in pairs but this one is always alone.
I have video of a gray cardinal eating at my feeder. It was joined by an adult female cardinal who fed it once when she appeared at the feeder. Because of the interaction I suspect it is mother and offspring. A juvenile looking female appeared at the feeder shortly thereafter. Her beak was gray and white. The gray bird had a gray beak with hints of red on its wings and tail.
