Unusual Bird: white headed robin

This is the second time we have seen the white headed Robin. The first time was Jan 7, 2014.
The first photo is a cropped from an image my husband took Feb 3, 2014 at 11:53 am.
The second photo is a cropped image I took Feb 3, 2014 at 8:35 am, showing this white headed robin in a group of robins and bluebirds.
So the bird was seen twice in one day.
We have lived in this house 13 years and this is the first white headed robin we have ever seen.
I have been participating in the feeder watch for most of the 13 years we have lived in this house.

We have the same bird in our garden. Any particular way to keep it here.
I’m in Providence, RI. Saw one last week in top of our garage but flew way and wasn’t able to take a picture. He had a white head like the one in the picture but body was like a regular robin whith no white. Thought it looked like a pigeons head. What a site to see. Maybe they bring good luck!
I have one in West Virginia! He loves our yard.
We have seen one near the Delaware River in Riegelsville PA.
Saw one for the first time in the pan handle of Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA
Had a clear view, close encounter with a white headed robin today at the border of Ossining and New Castle, NY.
We had one move into our area of Chelsea in NYC. Beautiful singing and oddly at this time of year.
Saw a photo of this bird yesterday taken on March 14, 2018 in Portvue, PA (approx. 13 mi. SSE of Pgh.). I was thinking It was a contrived image until I read several posts on this website, sent from people living in this general region, relating similar sightings.
I white-headed Robin was on my doorstep this morning 4/16/18 in Wisconsin. I remember seeing one last year too.
Had a white headed robin in my backyard April 15, 2018. Never knew they existed. It appeared the other robin’s were attempting to chase it away. Awesome!
I just saw one in my backyard in Somers, CT. He/she had a white head, red breast and striped wings, Very striking bird but I can see why they make easier prey for predators.
There are two robins in my yard. One is of normal colors and the other has a few white areas on its head. At first I thought the white spots were Apple blossoms stuck to its head as the flowering Apple tree in the yard was in full bloom. However I saw it again a few days ago and could see it was definitely part of its coloration.

We have Sean a white headed robin around April and now
We have one here in Krumsville, PA. It seems to have a nest nearby.
Saw a white headed robin (leucistic) in a conservation area in central Toronto, Ontario on April 24, 2019 foraging in the the underbrush adjacent to a river. Mostly while head and neck with some darker mottling mixed in.
We have one that is nesting under our neighbors deck in Lakeville Mn.
Saw a White headed Robin today, 2/27/2020 in Dunwoody, GA.
The head was white with dark stripe down middle and from the neck down was
exactly the color of a robin.

I live in Loveland CO and am love to watch the birds, especially the water loving robins at my bird bath every morning. Today October of 2020, was exceptional a new bird was in the neighborhood! It was a robin with a white head! Im hoping it will come back for a photo session.

I saw my first white headed robin this morning in my backyard in Lincolnville, Maine. The white head had some black specks and was very distinct. Just before 8am on a foggy, drizzly morning. Couldn’t get a good camera pic but was able to view and confirm identity with my binoculars.
We have a white headed robin in our yard here in Western PA. Some white on the ends of the tailfeathers today. It’s pretty large and seems 100% healthy.

A white headed robin has turned up in our yard today, January 26, 2025. We are in Poulsbo, Washington. I have never seen one before.
We’ve been watching a white headed Robin outside our condo in MonroeTownship NJ. Odd but pretty!
