This Cooper’s Hawk visited our northcentral Wisconsin count site during the current count period and spent several minutes standing in the warmed water of a heated birdbath that we provide in our back yard. We have been experiencing cold, snowy weather for the last couple of weeks, so it might be that the hawk just liked that bit of warmth.
