Mealworms in large mesh feeders are a great source of protein. Unfortunately, Starling mobs can clean out a feeder in minutes. My strategy is to put the mealworms out on the weekend (when I’m home) and bring the feeder inside when the Starlings show up.

I wish I had starlings at my feeder. You could give the starlings there own mealworms.
