This summer tanager showed up at our feeder on April 16, 2023. We have lived here for 23 years and have never seen a summer tanager. He has returned several times and through the BirdNET song app, we have heard him singing. We hope he stays!

Look what I’ve had come to visit me. I feel well favored for this visit. I’m sure they are just passing through but I would love for them to stay after all Hattiesburg Ms. Is the place to be. 2024
Male and female sitting so pretty together. They flew in together and seem to stay close to each other. They arrived yesterday Sunday morning.
