Description

The Brown Thrasher should be basking in Texas. I’ve named it “Byrd”, in honour of Richard E. Byrd, the antarctic explorer. I imagine it is wondering why it stayed around Lake Winnipeg. The temperature has been hovering around -30C for weeks!

Contemplation…

My newest little friend, a Brown Thrasher, spends some time contemplating why it didn't head south with all the other Brown Thrashers. Shot near Arnes, Manitoba, Canada.
