Description

Taken on 11/21/15 at Sherwood island State park in Westport CT. Was originally down there to look for an Ash-throated flycatcher that had been sighted down there (still there for the 23rd day in a row as of typing). As I was walking back to my car after successfully spotting the Flycatcher I was tipped off on a Dickcissel feeding with a small flock of house sparrows on some seed someone threw down in the parking lot entrance. After a minute of waiting sure enough this immature popped out of some Yew bushes to feed much to the delight to the small crown that gathered. The Dickcissel is still there for the 22nd day in a row as of typing.
