Description

This juvenile Sharp-shinned Hawk flew into the Basswood by our feeders, sending the birds away in a panic. He stood on one leg, occasionally stretching the other, and finally, after waiting patiently for 20 minutes for their return, left gracefully without lunch.

This juvenile Sharp-shinned Hawk stared intently at the buffet at our feeders beneath him, causing scattering of Goldfinches and Chickadees.
