Varied Thrushes are a common feeder visitor throughout the winter in Northern Idaho.

Female Varied Thrush patiently waiting out some snow flurries.
What a surprise, we live in northern lower Michigan and have had a Varied Thrush for the last two days. She (I think) sits for long periods of time on our porch rail then feeds a bit and leaves. This is a first for us. I hope we can keep her here.
