I took this photo out of our front window; the feeder is about 10 ft. away. The Nuthatch was a surprise – we usually have one around, but I had been focusing on a Cardinal at the feeder … and just as I was getting ready to snap the shutter, the Cardinal flew and this little cutie popped right into my frame and snatched up a seed. Quite a lucky shot. 🙂 Taken just a couple of days ago / mid-January.
