With the recent snowfall in New Jersey this little Nuthatch must have been thirsty in between his trips to my feeder he continued to stop at this branch and wash his seed down with a beak full of snow. Very cute to watch but made me wonder why he favored the snow over my fresh water that was put out for them this cold winter day!
