Description

Just as I focused in on this Sandhill Crane he turned his head and I focused on his eye producing this unusual photo

A Very unusual photo. The eye looks almost reptilian, and that red coloring on the head also makes the orange eye stand out. Very cool image, detailed too. It is definitely a conversation starter.

Beautiful portrait! I agree with Olivia that eye is quite amazing!

The eye is fabulous to behold. Great decision in taking this photo!

And the head is interesting to look at! Are those tiny red feathers or bumpy/rough skin? I’ve only seen Sandhill cranes from some distance, so I appreciate this close-up photo. My image/knowledge of what these birds look like has been improved.

Thanks.
