There have been many moments over the years where nature has awed me but none more than while hiking in Hendry County, Florida I came across eleven caracara lined up on fence posts grooming. I was sure they would be spooked as I got closer but they tolerated my presence and allowed a few quick shots. When I left they were all still on their posts. Now I’ve seen family groups of up to four at the same time but never eleven together. A very special day and a very special memory from 2016.
