Description

I love watching Red-headed Woodpeckers work hard to make holes in trees to store their food. I happened to capture the moment right when this Red-headed Woodpecker had a chunk of wood in its beak from making one of those holes! It seems like Red-headed and Pileated Woodpecker venture a little bit out of their comfort zone here in East, TN during the winter in search of food. That thankfully means I get to see them more!
