I was watching the young in this Heron nest through my scope when suddenly the young started squawking at something above them. I peered over the scope quickly and thought it was a hawk, but when I moved the scope up I saw it was a juvenile Bald Eagle!!! Very unexpected!! first time I had seen one in this area. The parents and another nesting pair flew over and yelled until it flew away. Awesome day!!
