Description

There are around 8 bluebirds that regularly come to the suet feeder. And each time, they get into a small battle with the pair of downy woodpeckers over claim to the feeder. The male bluebirds seem to be the sassiest, hardly tolerating the woodpeckers. But the females don’t seem to mind…as long as the rival bird is on the other side and they can pretend not to see each other. The ate in piece for a brief moment for me to capture it on camera.
