This little black-capped chickadee, with white spots on its head and a white shawl, hatched last Spring in a nesting box on my patio: the only one of four, with these color mutations. I still see it, now and then, but it’s so quick to snatch sunflower seeds, snapping a pic has been a great challenge. Totally different habits from its more laid-back, chestnut-sided cousin!
