Unusual feathers & bills
Hello:
We raised 10 Mallard Ducklings and the males have purple/blue heads. How did that come about? I feed them oatmeal and eggs morning for 4 or 6 weeks and then they stared eating more adult duck food. I can’t remember when i stopped feeding then oat meal, I think when they grew to almost adult size I stopped the oatmeeal. Do ho thing their heads tuened purple from oatmeal?
